Webinar: Opening Remarks and Keynote Speaker for “South China Sea Disputes: What it means to Malaysi
The “South China Sea Dispute: What it means to Malaysia-China Relations” webinar will feature Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin as the opening speaker. He is the president and a trustee board member of Bait Al-Amanah. Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin was also the former Johor Chief Minister between 2013 to 2018, and the Minister of Higher Education from 2008 to 2013.
The Keynote Speech will be delivered by Elina Noor, Director Political-Security Affairs at the Asia Society Policy Institute. A native of Malaysia, Elina’s work focuses on security developments in Southeast Asia, global governance and technology, and preventing/countering violent extremism. Previously, Elina was Associate Professor at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies. Prior to that, she was Director, Foreign Policy and Security Studies at the Institute of Strategic and International Studies Malaysia.
